Welcoming a baby into the world is stressful and overwhelming as it is but even more so in this day and age where your options for baby gear are endless!
I can remember feeling like I was writing a research paper as I googled literally product before adding it to our registry. It can be daunting thinking about all of the things your babe needs and what they might like vs. what will be a complete waste of money, which is why I took the time to list out some of Palmer’s absolute tried and true favorite products and baby gear. These are the things she absolutely cannot live without that are SURE to make life a little easier for mom + dad too!
WHY WE LOVE IT:
Comotomo Bottles | It’s no secret that these bottles are a fan favorite. It seems like if you’re a new mom or are currently expecting, then you’ve heard the rave about Comotomo bottles. We were fortunate enough to have Comotomo gift us their set of smaller bottles and newborn slow flow nipples. They’re designed for babies who are breastfed and are ideal for preventing colic and gas with the dual vent system. Lucky for us (heavy sarcasm there), Palmer has a very gassy belly and we’re pretty sure she has colic, sigh*. I do feel like these bottles help though as we tried switching bottles and she was v gassy. I recommend getting their bottle kit which comes with two smaller bottles and two larger bottles with interchangeable nipples with different flow speeds for your growing babe!
Deluxe DockATot Baby Docking Station | For a babe that hates to be on her back, she LOVES her Dockatot and thank the heavens for that, otherwise I’d get nothing done. I love how versatile and how easy it is to just pick it up and bring it in the living room or our bedroom. It’s great for supervised naps or to pop her in while I’m getting her a bottle or getting something done without her in my arms.
Ryan and Rose Cutie Pacifier Clips | I lose everything, it’s just a fact. So I consider it a miracle that I haven’t lost one of her pacifiers yet. Sheer luck? Nope. I solely contribute this new success to the Ryan and Rose Cutie Clips. They easily clip onto anything and make it very difficult to lose which is great because like most baby gear, pacifiers are NOT cheap!
ToteSavvy Deluxe Organizer | This is a total game changer. Say goodbye to ugly or bulky diaper bags, you can literally turn ANY bag of your choice into your diaper bag. Never thought I’d see the day that my Neverfull became a diaper bag but I am not mad about it. I’m also a huge fan all of the compartments that make organization so simple, especially the insulated pouch for bottles.
HALO Sleepsack Swaddle | Is anyone else’s babe literally the most squirmy wiggly worm when it comes to swaddling? I swear Palmer was a magician in her past life. She ALWAYS found a way to get out of her swaddle and that wasn’t for a lack of skill on our part! Max was so frustrated that it became his life’s mission to master the swaddle and even still those little arms found a way out until… the HALO Sleepsack! This baby makes swaddling a breeze and P loves it! It’s also helped her to familiarize the swaddle with sleep which, finger’s crossed, will help mom and dad get more sleep! Save yourself the frustration and grab one of these babies. You won’t regret it.
Coterie Diapers (+ wipes) | This is a HUGE one for me and seriously, I NEVER thought I’d have such a love affair with diapers. Forget the beautiful branding and stunning aesthetic, these diapers DELIVER. period. They are so absorbent it’s actually mind boggling. They are also free of harsh chemicals, parabens, latex, lotions, dyes, alcohol, heavy metals etc. The list goes on. These are the cream of the crop, and everything that my little babe deserves in a diaper. The softness and absorbency keeps her more comfortable for longer, which means more sleep for us and that is what we call a win, win folks.
Kyte Baby Romper | Name a softer baby garment. I dare you. It doesn’t exist. These are hands down the softest and most comfortable clothes that she has. They’re easy to put on and take off for diaper changing and come in a plethora of adorable colors. They also come in styles with sleeves and a zipper if the snaps aren’t your thing! I love that you can dress them up or down and that she seems to be so cozy in them. PS. Their fall line just dropped and I’m already eying everything in the color spice!
Solly Baby Wrap | This one may be Palmer’s top pick. She is so in her element and feels so safe and comfortable in it and the best part? Mama gets her hands free! It’s also a guaranteed nap the MINUTE she’s put in it. We have two and I’m such a huge fan that I feel like we need more, one for every room and one in the car for travel! I know it seems a little difficult to put on a first glance but they have a super easy tutorial video on their site that took us two seconds to master.
Gathre Changing Mat | Oh how I love this mat. They gifted us the smallest mat and I’m ABSOLUTELY buying the larger size and also have my eye on a few of their other products. It’s so soft and isn’t ever too cold when I lay her down on it. It also wipes clean sooo easily and is so flat and compact it’s easy to store anywhere. Can we also talk about how chic they are? You need one, trust us.
BIBS Pacifiers | Not only are these the most aesthetically pleasing pacifiers but they are hands down, little P’s favorites. I’ll be honest, I bought a bunch of the 2 packs in some pretty colors that would match her outfits hoping she would love them best and luckily for us, she did. I’ve also heard from other mama’s that this brand is their babe’s favorite too so maybe its something about the nipple on them? Either way, I’m not complaining and neither is Palmer when she has one of these in her mouth!
I’m also linking some of these products, some similar ones and a few honorable mentions, our Bugaboo Stroller, HALO Bassinest, Keekaroo, Nuna Carseat and the MVP of our lives lately, Mylicon!
